Reinventing the learning to drive experience through communication and education.

client

The learn to drive industry hasn't innovated for years. The AA and BSM recognised they needed to rethink the process to retain and increase their market share. To resonate with a typically young audience, they needed a bold, fresh visual design to lead learners through an otherwise stressful process.

The strategy and design were lead by three primary goals; communication, education and progression. We looked to improve and facilitate communication between the instructor and pupil. Educational tools encouraged incremental learning and information retention. Progress and achievement were visually played back to the learner and instructor throughout.

Understanding employee needs to create a vision of a truly co-operative benefits service.

client

A vision for the future Co-op employee benefits service, based on employee insight and behaviour. The packages and services need to cater to a wide and varied workforce.

Employee needs were mapped against existing Co-op benefits, revealing a strong divide. From these, we produced a series of job stories which were prioritised to form principles for the future service.

Transforming complex internal processes and systems into a frictionless self-service platform.

A seamless journey, through responsive web and a native app, that allows the customer to complete the whole car finance process online. A full-service design project that went from service design through to polished visuals.

Human guidance and support was essential for most customers; the platform had to enhance customer service, not remove it. Clear signposting throughout the experience ensured customers were in control of their own decisions. A task driven interface incentivised our natural need to progress and complete.

Making ideas quickly tangible through interactive, testable prototypes, that are validated early.

client

BBC Sport wanted to build on the success of their app, with incremental feature additions. Over the course of 6 weeks, we ran a series of design sprints, producing 100s of ideas that went into user testing with their audience. Each sprint had a focus (e.g. 'Storytelling' and 'Playful personalisation') based on internal product strategies.

A final master prototype layered the best features on top of the existing app. This served as a roadmap for future feature releases.

Creating an omnichannel experience from inspiration through to purchase.

client

Allowing customers to take control to find exactly what they want. An immersive and unique multichannel experience, guiding customers in their buying journey.

We looked to understand the emotional process a customer goes through when buying a sofa. Natural touchpoints in the decision making process in-store and online were analysed and mapped against prototyped concepts.

A new music platform, imagined and designed from the ground up.

client

We were approached with an idea for a start-up and worked with the founder to craft it into a unique experience. Evermix allows DJs to record their set live from the booth to their phone, and then post the mix up to the listener website and app.

There were two key strategies for differentiation. The Evermix mix box makes it easy for DJs to record live sets, and listeners are able to re-live great nights. An emotion-lead design that captures the club atmosphere, through photography and shared 'moments'.
