I'm building a thing
A few months ago, I moved to a three-day week at Public Digital to build my own business alongside consulting. The focus of that independent work is helping organisations apply service design at an organisation-wide scale, using practical, productised methods that make it easier to continue the work in-house.
As part of that, I’m developing an end-to-end operating model method.
The method helps organisations organise around value, by designing how products, services and operations work together end-to-end. It puts delivery at the centre, so teams can create better customer experiences and run more efficient operations.
It’s designed for complex environments where delivery feels harder than it should - where pace, focus and consistency are difficult to achieve at scale.
I’m currently running the method in beta with a small number of organisations. The beta takes the form of a series of facilitated workshops, and I’m looking for a couple more organisations to take part.
This might be useful if you’re trying to:
get a clear, shared view of how your products, services and systems fit together
understand where delivery is being slowed down or distorted by the operating model
improve efficiency and growth without defaulting to restructures
create clearer links between strategy, delivery and day-to-day work
If you’re interested or think this could help your organisation, I’d be very happy to talk.
